Supermicro SuperStorage SSG-5028R-E1CR12L is a 2U high-density storage platform designed for environments that require reliable, scalable and energy-efficient disk subsystems. The chassis supports a single Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 processor (LGA 2011) with TDP up to 145 W, providing a balanced combination of compute performance and storage throughput.

The platform is optimized for large memory configurations, offering 8 DIMM slots and support for up to 1 TB ECC 3DS LRDIMM DDR4-2400. ECC and LRDIMM technologies help increase memory capacity and improve data integrity, which is critical for storage, virtualization and data-intensive applications.

A key element of this system is its storage subsystem. The server provides:

• 12x 3.5" hot-swap drive bays with optional 2.5" support
• SAS3 + SATA3 drive interface for flexible disk configurations
