Supermicro SYS-2028TP-HTR-SIOM

The Supermicro SYS-2028TP-HTR-SIOM is a high-density 2U server platform designed for environments requiring predictable performance, high memory capacity, and robust power redundancy. It is based on the LGA 2011 socket and supports Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 processors with a maximum TDP of 145W per CPU.

The system offers dual-processor support, enabling scalable compute performance for virtualization, data processing and other memory-intensive workloads. With 16 DIMM slots and support for up to 2TB ECC 3DS LRDIMM or 512GB ECC RDIMM DDR4-2400 memory, the platform is optimized for stability and data integrity in 24/7 operation.

Storage is provided via six 2.5" hot-swap drive bays with SATA/SAS interfaces, allowing flexible configuration of performance and capacity tiers. Hot-swap capability facilitates drive replacement and maintenance without system downtime.

Power infrastructure is built around two redundant 2000W power supplies with 80 Plus Titanium efficiency, reducing energy losses and thermal output while maintaining high availability. In case of PSU failure, the remaining unit continues operation, improving overall system resilience.

Expansion options include PCI Express 3.0 slots (1x PCI-E 3.0 x16 LP and 1x PCI-E 3.0 x8 LP), supporting additional controllers or accelerator cards according to deployment requirements. Networking connectivity is provided via an SIOM (Supermicro I/O Module) slot, enabling selection of network interface configuration appropriate for the target infrastructure.

For peripheral connectivity, the chassis integrates two rear USB 3.0 ports. The platform is backed by a 36‑month manufacturer warranty.
